Canadian Borg (via Reddit)
Heh. Eh? :-)
Okay, we all know hockey is popular in Canada - their lack of recent Stanley Cup-winning teams notwithstanding - but this is probably the first time anyone has cared to measure that country’s love of their national sport .
The city of Edmonton’s water utility company, EPCOR (not to be confused with EPCOT, which is, like, on totally the opposite end of North America) broke down, hour-by-hour, the rates of home water consumption during Feb. 28 - the day of Canada’s gold medal win against the U.S. Unsurprisingly, the spikes of water use occurred when their team wasn’t on the ice - during the intermissions between periods.
Guess you could say Canada was flush with excitement, eh?
